A new indie soap will go into production in June from Gregori J. Martin, the director of my film, Manhattanites. Following the life of socialite Sara Garrett and the people around her, THE BAY is a new web series in the vein of Aaron Spelling's 1980s classic primetime soap opera, DYNASTY. Filled with sex, lies, scandal, and everything required to make a hot 1980s soap opera, THE BAY stars several soap icons including Tristan Rogers (Scorpio, GENERAL HOSPITAL), Sandra Robinson (Amanda, ANOTHER WORLD), John Callahan (Edmund, ALL MY CHILDREN), Lilly Melgar (Lily, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and many others.
Martin is the producer/director/writer of the series. Rogers is one of the co-producers (in addition to producing the upcoming REALITY BYTES).
What daytime star would you like to see on the new web series THE BAY?"
Last June, Tristan began his connection with Green Magazine TV (GMTV) by shooting a pilot for the Discovery Channel. As the host of GMTV, Tristan explained their concept saying, "Green Magazine TV is dedicated to the prospect of preserving our planet as a healthy vibrant habitat for us, for our children, our children's children, and for many generations to come beyond that. It's the responsibility of us and every country and corporation to make sure that that happens." The show highlights corporations that take their responsibility to the planet very seriously, and shows their commitment to seeking out sustainable solutions to the problems that corporations face in their day to day business.
Congratulations to Green Magazine TV for getting picked up by the Discovery Channel. This new form of magazine TV will inform the audience about those who are making a difference in the world of green.

During one of his frequent trips to the Palm Beach, Florida area, Tristan teamed up again with friend and producer Aaron Wells to shoot a pilot for the Discovery Channel.
To celebrate Tristan's 62nd birthday, the staff at TR.com decided to surprise him and prank him all at the same time. Quietly contacting a few of his closest friends, they asked them to send video birthday wishes to him and proposed what would later turn out to be a first in E-cards: personal video included. "We contacted as many of his friends as we could, trying to keep it quiet. Tristan is impossible to surprise. We think it's mostly so many years playing a spy," joked one staffer. "We had a lot of people who were interested in participating, but we had a time crunch and a technology barrier with some people. What we were proposing was so new, not a lot of people had the technology on hand to participate," explained TR.com's creative director.
"Tristan had no idea what we were up to," she continued. "When we had all the videos we received in and the card completed, we gave him the link and completed the surprise." What did Tristan think of their devious nature? "I adored it," Tristan stated. "It remains to me one of the coolest things I've ever seen."
If you would like to add your own birthday greeting to the card, just leave a comment below and the staff will add them as time allows.
