It seems that Tristan has his hand in the cookie jar these days. No, he’s not in trouble, but has certainly been busy with a variety of things. I asked him a few questions that flowed through my mind after reading some of his comments on Twitter. This, of course, brings me to my first question.
ozmod: I see you have been playing around with Twitter. Can you explain what you would like this to become for you and your fans? Is this just another communication outlet that you are toying with?
Tristan: I started messing with Twitter about 6 weeks ago and got bored with it really quickly. I just could not wrap my head around its use. So I let it go. About two weeks ago I started looking at it from a different direction and could see it for what it was; “A communication of random thoughts and actions”. So, I decided use it as that. I like to use it on a computer whereas the use of Twitter through a PDA is probably a more efficient use of it.

ozmod: I’ve read that you will be going to West Palm Beach in April. Can you give us any more information about the "gig" you mentioned? Also, is this related to the Palm Beach Film Festival? What will your role be at the PBFF, and what are you looking forward to the most?
Tristan: I will be hosting an event down there tied in with a benefit for ‘World Trade’. This has nothing to do with the PBFF. That takes place about 2 weeks later. I will be attending but I don’t know if it is as a host. I will have more details on this as the time approaches but right now I know very little. I will also have more on the World Trade event. My desire is to stimulate some form of local production in PB. Preferably in the form of Web shows. In today’s economy money is tight and investors are scared and wary. A Web show makes sense and as such that is where I try and put people’s interest.
ozmod: What can you tell us about this new film Raven? What is your character like? I see that this is your second film working with Gregori Martin. What is it like working with him? Do you have any other films in the works?
Tristan: I know very little about this. My part is tiny and it is being left to me “on the day” to add something to it. The character is a priest and it is being shot in Santa Barbara. Beyond that I know zip. The shoot takes place at the end of February for a day. I like working with Greg. He is a pro and a hard worker. He wants to find something more substantial for me in a role and so what I am doing now is just maintaining a contact with him. He has a good feel for product and the sort of person you need to watch, because this is the type of person who comes up with that ”great project”.
ozmod: Can you give the fans any hint as to what changes they will see to the site next month? A little tease?
Tristan: I got involved with an idea that I am now having second thoughts about. Mainly because I don’t feel the material is strong enough for the project that I was planning on using it for. This would have been running now but upon reflection I don’t know. The project “My Soap Café” is still moving ahead. The Web site is almost finished and we want to start taping in about 2 weeks. This project has had its ups and downs due to the economy, but it has endured. More on that as it evolves.
Ozmod: You made a comment on Twitter about the Ethan storyline as "testing the waters". Would you like to expand on that?
Tristan: It occurred to me after this had been brought to my attention. Then a flutter of activity had started in chat rooms, and in posts, that this was what GH was probably looking for. To see how much heat a storyline like this could generate. If it had died, that would have been that. But it seems to have endured. Story wise it could have happened. There seems to be space for it. It certainly raises some interesting possibilities. My stand on this is a neutral one. And until/if I am brought in on it I will continue in this mode.
