I think this "thanksgiving" probably more than others I can recall, is a significant one for thought and reflection. Since I have been in this country I cannot go back to a time when so many of my friends and family have been effected by events and the economic slide.
It's times like this that I truly think of the future and what part I can play in it. It's at these times that ideas, good and not so good, abound and this is good. I like to think that no idea or notion is too ridiculous, that it isn't worth my time to listen to it.
My son always has a crazy one or a dozen up his sleeve.
This "thanksgiving" will be no less active at my house than it has in past years, with many friends and family here to share it. The differenece from what I can see is that people seem to want to indulge a little less.
I want to wish everyone a great day and may you get out of it what you gave to it.
