You are WARNED though there are Veteran actors in these films as leads!

Too funny...how dare they use vets to make a movie.
Mr. Brooks is great!! The Bucket List looks funny.
Thanks D for the info.

I've watched Mr. Brooks the other night, I'm no Costner's fan, depending on the role he portrays in some movies, he gets on my nerves and in some movies, as The Untouchables and JFK, I like him, I did like this movie.
I adore William Hurt, what an actor, this guy is as good in twisted fucks than in good heartful men as in the Village, I love this actor.
I find the end a bit difficult to understand, I bet that I'm going to have to rent it again.
I didn't like Demi's character though, funny and weird she portrays the type of women that I normally adore to watch but, Demi gets on my nerves real fast! Her acting seems forced. She's too old to wear those long black hair anymore.... her character reminded me of Jackie Templeton though......couldn't help but to laugh hard when I made the link between Jackie and that character.
True, vets were the main stars in that movie, and um! gals, sorry to say but Demi is also a vet......the woman is been acting for nearly 30 years! Um, to me, she's a vet!
I adored Hurt in this one....damn, I love the guy!

Hurt was awesome in that movie but it was good to see Costner in a different role. Loved him in the Guardian - it's a Maritime thing.
What didn't ya get about the ending?

I'm really looking forward to seeing The Bucket List. Jack and Morgan together on the screen in a buddy movie? Oh yeah. I'm there. Mr. Brooks is a maybe, but I'll check it out.
Thanks, Dom.
I'm a sucker for those psychologically twisted movies and Mr. Brooks did not disappoint me. I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning because I neither like nor hate Kevin Costner. I find for the most part I end up enjoying his movies despite his participation as opposed to because of it. I could be completely wrong in my impression but to me he's been pretty much a one trick pony and always seems to be the same guy in whatever movie he plays. His character in Dances with Wolves, JFK, The Postman, The Bodyguard, Robin Hood, Wyatt Earp. They are all the exact same guy but I love every one of those movies. Notable exceptions for him are Bull Durham and The Untouchables where he seemed like a completely different entity.
And completely different is the case for Mr. Brooks. This isn't your mother's Kevin Costner. He does a truly fantastic job in this movie and William Hurt shines in everything he does (I fell in love with him back during the Broadcast News/Children of a Lesser God days and it stuck) but they make a truly haunting tandem in this movie. Even Dane Cook (the raucus comedian that he is) plays the wannabe really well.
I'd recommend that one.
Sorry about that D. I told ya I was blind, lol.
The Bucket List does look really good.
I'm off to see Fool's Gold tomorrow. Can't wait...I haven't seen a movie without Disney being a part of the title in some time.
