Just wanted to say hi!
I discovered Tristan and GH when I spent a year in '84/'85 at school in Canada, when I was 14. I really became addicted to the show and missed it terribly when I had to come back home to Scotland again.
I never forgot it though and, through the wonders of the internet over the last couple of years, have been so happy to catch up with what's happened with Tristan and GH.

Hello "old" Scotland from "New" Scotland. What part of Canada did you spend time in?

Hi!
I was in a small town in New Brunswick- it really funny to me as it was right on the border with the US and also a time line. So, when we crossed the river into the next town we were in Maine and an hour behind, lol.
Welcome to the adventure!!! Okay I have to ask. What are your thoughts on Duke Lavery?

Very nice. I was born in Fredericton, NB but pretty much grew up in Nova Scotia.
Welcome to Tristan's world. Have fun and come back often. We always love to see new "faces" in our discussions.

Welcome to the best message board of all, Tristan's!
Well, well, well, a newbie from Scotland, that's interesting!
Potassium asked about your thoughts on Lavery, I won't make my own observations on him here, (ugh! no I didn't like him, however that said I like Ian Buchanan as an actor) but I will say that my first Scot Love was Sean Connery.....aaaaawww! now that's man for you! (akay, let me be a gurly fan here for a moment, the voice, the accent.....the eyes, the hairy chest...oooooooOOO...akay! over and done being shallow!, only for now that is!)
I'm Canadian too! French-Canadian, born and raised in Québec City, Province of Québec, Canada...World!
As I said, welcome on the best message board of all, Tristan's!
"Let the verbal pyrotechnics begin..." as the man himself would say!
Dom
Thanks for the welcome guys!

I don't really have an opinion on Duke Lavery- haven't really seen any of his scenes though I have read some snippets of the storyline. I've mainly tried to catch up with what happened to the characters I knew and loved when I watched the show- the most important of course being the wonderful Robert Scorpio.
Lol, I think I'd confuse myself completely trying to catch up with everything in all the years since I've seen the show.
Hee, I can understand your admiration of the wonderful Mr Connery, though being around the accent all my life it really doesn't do much for me. I'm rather partial to the Aussie accent myself.
Thanks again for the lovely welcome.
