I re-watched the Spinelli parts of GH yesterday. Now is the moment to turn the show around!
If Spinelli's an undercover agent they could right the mothership is two weeks. Spin could effectively be just like Frisco which will cause Maxie to run in fear. Jason can be shot in the head and come back as a Quartermaine. I haven't heard anything about MB's contract so hopefully he's decided to take a break for awhile. Sonny and the pack of Zacharra's can go to prison. They can get Johnny out of the mob before the shit hits the fan and keep him.
Here's hoping by the end of the year I get my soap opera back!
Now as for the craziness with Nik. Can a private citizen actually buy Native American property? And I still can't figure out why Nik would be deported but I'm glad we are getting non-mob storyline so I'm going to let it ride. I don't get the overprotective parent shenanigans from Scrubs either but at least they don't cause me to scramble for the remote. I still want to know if any of the writers have kids of their own because it doesn't seem like it.

I’ve run out of ipecac and Pepto Bismal and have therefore been unable to watch GH lately. Spinelli doesn’t really bother me, in fact I think his off-beat ways have a potential to blossom into something very different and even maybe endearing. But to see him, one has to put up with Maxie, who is way too cartoonish, and the rest of Guza’s mob. Yes, I get that soaps, like any good story, need their fair share of problems and villains, but they also must have heroes. (Quick lesson for Guza: The villain/bad guy has different characteristics than the hero/good guy. Give your Freshman Creative Writing Textbook a quick perusal please.)
The baffling of thinking people continues as fans recognize the need for this balance in the storylines, yet TPTB are oblivious to writing techniques well known in first year writing classes through prolific and best selling author's works. YES- I want my soap back too, Potassium, and I'd be able to stomach the mob if there were some Scorp action involved. So until then I continue to email Frons (short pro-Tristan requests) and prepare to either watch Tristan on GH in the future or bid farewell to GH once more.

Yes, I saw that too and funny enough I thought the same thing, now it's time to cease the day and morph this putrid mob crap to make it a good and entertaining soap once more. The next question is, will they? They have had a few opportunities to do so within the last 3 years, they didn't take any of them except to close the doors on every one of these opportunities.
As far as the tiredsome and boring Scrubs bubble, I don't get it, I never did and I sure will never get it, to me Robin Scorpio is ssssssssssooooo much more than Patprick that I've left the train a long time ago.

Great idea, does someone happen to have the link? Because I've tried to find it and frankly, (I must suck at searching big time too huh?) I can't find my way around this site at all! Thanks in advance!

Too funny Val, I've stopped running for either ipecac or/and Pepto Bismal a long time ago, I've found that with me the best remedy of all is to cut, close to not watching it at all (except maybe a few minutes of my 4/5 favourite characters each week through Youtube and I just found out that I can no longer tolerate Robin or Mac in that show, as for playa junior, I never could tolerate him except on NS2), my viewing this stupid and putrid mess of a show. And frankly, I can say that nothing surpasses it, since Tristan/Robert won't show before December I don't want nor do I wish for any of the aggreviation that only head hack junior's writing can give me, I've had enough of his skewed male point of view crapfest!
But I still find your post very funny, as usual!

And this is the brilliance of Tristan's site. Scroll to the bottom of the page. There is a banner under the heading "In Tristan's Sites." Put your cursor on it and it will scroll. One of the links is Daytime Confidential, just click.
It's a good article, it's the same thing Sam Ford has been saying for a year.
I know about the afiliates scroll Kay I used it this morning but just couldn't find the article.....yes, call me lazy I thought that someone would have the heart to do like I usually do, copy and paste the link here...oh well! I'll find it later I guess....

Thanks Kim...
The obsessive coveting of younger viewers at the expense of older ones is effectively killing the genre.
I agree with that assessment.
When its all said and done and the last Bette Midler song is played before the final closing credits of the Last Soap Standing (hosted, executive produced and written by Alison Sweeney), the guardians at the gate, the very people who inherited this genre from Irna and Agnes, Bill and Gloria, Doug and James are going to have to explain to the Soap Gods on Pop Culture Judgement Day how they squandered their birthright and wrecked an almost century's old medium, all for the sake of the mythical Fountain of Electric Youth ,or even worse "mainstream" validation (see The Channel Formerly Known as SOAPnet) and trust me my friends, it won't be pretty.
All I have to say is this, sheer pure genius! And no, it won't be pretty, my continuous bashing of Guza and his co hacks will seem like summer vacation, when Agnes, Bill, Gloria, Doug and James will be waiting for the likes of junior and co hacks, OoOOOooOO! Thrills me just to think about it, could I sit in the audience, cause I would surely like to see that dramatic bashing of the knuckle heads by the greatest soapgawds of all!!!....OOOOoOOOo! Wow! Waiting at the gates of Mount Hell....mmmmmuuuuuhahahahaha!
Your time is gonna come.......
Thanks again, Kim!
