Let's send a message of support to Tristan and a determined and prolonged message to catch the serious attention of the powers that be.
Like many of you, I’ve been reading this and other GH/NS message boards and I’ve talked with my own circle of peeps (some of whom are old GH fans and some who love NS because of the Scorpios). What I’m hearing from fans (young and old; past and present) is that the Scorpio story needs to continue. The dream of dreams would be to have them return to GH under the loving hand of Sri Rao, and see them daily. This would mean the dark Guza years would be replaced by stories of hope and community, told with both passion and humor. It would honor the history and integrity of these beloved characters, as well as the new life breathed into them by Rao.
Also acceptable would be an expanded season of Night Shift that would also include more episodes and less time between new seasons. We just want more of the Scorpios, and done with all the care given them by Rao. So the question is, do we just sit around and talk about it, or (dot, dot, dot…)
I offer this call to action. Below is info (previously given on this message board) on how to contact the powers that be. If you say you love TR and the Scorpio story, then let’s at least make an effort to do something timely and proactive. Let’s join together to contact ABC and Soapnet, asking, nay I say, demanding attention to the growing mandate for more of the Scorpios.
Supply and demand is a simple concept. The fans demand more of the Scorpio story (again, in the hands of Rao). However, if TPTB only supply us with a pat on the head and tell us to be good little children and be satisfied with meager tasteless offerings, then my response is “Spare me you turgid rhetoric and bootlicking protestations” (RS). For me, GH/GH:NS without Scorpio is like a day without sunshine. No Scorpio, no watch-o. From the top of my soapbox I issue the challenge to contact TPTB while the topic is hot and spread the word to other message boards and friends. It might seem like it’s a big mountain to climb with little hope, but when has that ever stopped Scorpio from trying.
Any takers?

This may be a silly question.... Does anyone know if all those involved in the Scorpio family would want this stand to be made, including the name on this message board?

It can't hurt.
From everything I've learned over the past couple of years, if you're an actor, mail/feedback is good! The networks need engaged viewers, nothing says engaged like someone willing to write a letter and put a stamp on it. Write, call, e-mail, heck blog and post to messageboards too, they now have ways to quantify that. (Think of how easy it is for TPTB to gauge interest based on the number of comments over at SOAPnet.com. I'm sure they can also tell how many times an article has been read or a name searched.) I think as long as fans are respectful and positive it can only help. Tell TPTB what you like and what you want to see more of.
And now I'm off to write my thank you notes.

I applaud everyone's passion but understand that writing these emails and calling these numbers may make you feel good, but that's about it. And maybe that's enough. GH is set on its path and it's not to bring back all the veterans full time. If you really want to make them at least take notice of you, you really need a major campaign that magazines, radio, and TV picks up on. And that takes thousands of fans just like you. They may be out there, but they have to be organized. It STILL may not make a difference to TPTB. But sending a few emails will only make YOU feel good. Do you know what I do when I receive letters from viewers who complain about one of my shows? I give them to my attorney in case there's a threat and, if so, they can trace it back to the originator. That's what they'll do with yours. They store them just in case...
But, if you truly think you can make a difference, then do it. But do it in a committed organized fashion. And know that you face incredibly difficult odds. But at least if you can show an organization of thousands just like you, who knows? But, not a 100 angry emails.

I saw the TMK storyline, GH isn't set on any path... ever! That's half the problem. And I don't expect the vets back full time front and center on GH. I want storylines that include more depth then who is sleeping with whom. I want stories that include family.

That would be true if we were trying to save a show from cancellation. That's not the goal. The goal is to let TPTB know that we appreciate what they've done so far and what we'd like to see more of in the future.

What do you do with the complimentary letters that give you positive feedback? Are you telling me that doesn't play into your thought process for future projects? (By the way, I watched that Arsenio Hall thing. It was good, I liked it and I liked that it was something I could watch with my kids.)

I'm writing, e-mailing,calling sending out "Thank You's" to all involved in putting Robert X.Scorpio back on our screen and giving this legendary, iconic character the respect he so rightfully deserve and asking for more of Robert/Scorpios on NS.I don't want these characters on GH, I don't even watch GH any longer,I've finally came to term with the fact that GH is a different show, one that I don't enjoy and the characters I loved wouldn't fit on it so I moved away from it...and on to NS but only if Robert is on it.that's where I want to see him.GH is a thing of the past for me.
